mRNA Food Chain Vaccines and Some Simple Action we can take
How complacency now can complicate our future choices
There has been much discussion in recent weeks about mRNA vaccines currently in portions of our food supply such as the pork industry, and about plans to use mRNA vaccines in cattle, poultry, etc. While I’m not qualified to make opinions on whether or not these vaccines will be absorbed into our systems or digested and eliminated, I’m certainly encouraged to see this debate is occurring between those who do have the scientific training and background. Instead, I sought an opportunity to talk about some of the action items we can consider, and some of the philosophical issues I have with acceptance of this new trend of vaccination of our food supply with mRNA, or what I refer to as ‘Food Chain Vaccines’.
Choice is a cornerstone of freedom, and I believe that part of freedom is a framework that allows for us all to determine our own course as long as it does not infringe on another’s rights. Without accurate information it is difficult to make the best choices for you and your family. Without accurate information, the suppliers and supporters of Food Chain Vaccines may indeed be infringing on our rights to not be affected negatively by the constituents of our diets.
When I heard of these plans for the proliferation of Food Chain Vaccines a few weeks ago, I called my local food aggregator and delivery service. The owner is always very responsive and knowledgeable, and was able to unequivocally say that their suppliers do not vaccinate their livestock ever. That solved one issue. When I prepare food at home, I can choose sources such as this. However, I am a professional pilot, and as such a decent percentage of my diet comes from hotel restaurants, airport fare, and protein bars. I do what I can to meal prep, but all pilots end up with delays, mechanical issues, or cancellations. A one day trip can easily turn into an overnight. I am also concerned for more than just myself, so while I can do my best to meal prep for unexpected situations, what of those of us who may have other food related challenges?
During my conversation, the owner directed me to a group called Global Animal Partnership (www.globalanimalparternship.org), who create independent standards for various types of food. I called their main number and had a very informative discussion with their administrator. Currently they don’t have non-mRNA certification standards for their member providers, but the administrator did say they are getting a lot of calls and emails from people asking if they would institute such a standard so there would be some clarity on the vaccine status of their providers. The Standards Board is set to meet soon ( the actual date is not confirmed) and as they meet once per year, this would be a perfect time for anyone interested to send supportive emails to info@globalanimalpartnership.org.
I also have since learned about another organization called R CALF USA https://www.r-calfusa.com/ This group is also looking into the mRNA Food Chain Vaccine issues, and I plan on supporting their efforts. Please take a look if you’re interested!
Missouri is also working on state level legislation to address mRNA Food Chain Vaccines. However I am not sure if the various legislative bodies will be able to respond in time. The legislative season in Colorado is all but over, and any bills to address the issue will have to find sponsors for the 2024 session. This leaves several months for the proliferation of mRNA Food Chain Vaccines until then. However, if we are able to work with independent organizations now, we can hopefully improve our chances of finding non-mRNA food in our normal and professional lives. I encourage us all to get involved in supporting these organizations and others who can help.
The second and more philosophical part I’d like to address is how complacency now can affect our future choices. There is little doubt that vaccine mandates will be attempted again. Maybe there will be a ‘bad flu season’ or a new avian flu? I feel certain that a new ‘pandemic’ will arrive, and all of our freedoms will be challenged again. During the Covid Vaccine Mandates, many airline pilots and others sought a religious exemption from the Covid Vaccines. I have heard many examples of various Human Resources departments issuing a questionnaire that challenged those who sought exemptions. One popular question was a version of this: ‘Have you ever taken a flu vaccine? If so, why is the Covid vaccine different?’ While many of us have a list of reasons, the question may have been written to undermine our credibility by trying to say since some of us had a flu vaccine, we have no grounds to refuse the Covid vaccine. My concern with Food Chain Vaccines is similar. Consider the future question: ‘You knowingly consume foods vaccinated with mRNA technology. Why is injecting one different than the possibility of absorption through your digestive process?’ This question may put us in a real bind. If we accept the mRNA Food Chain Vaccines now, we may have just eliminated one basis of rejection of mRNA vaccines in the future.
Additionally, any complacency now can lead to financial support of mRNA vaccine manufacturers, which will only serve to further entrench this technology into our daily lives. I am afraid of any ‘Big mRNA’ lobby efforts now and in the future.
On a side note, I filed a FOIA request with the USDA on a different animal vaccine, and found out that the majority of the information was considered to be Confidential Business Information. The manufacturer can redact almost anything before the FOIA results are issued. This is a concern, as we can at least see the Pfizer BionTech study results as they are issued. I believe, like many of us probably do, that these results should have been out for a few years before the vaccine was available. In the case of animal vaccines, we may never have the opportunity under the current regulations to get the information we seek. I hope the regulations can be changed to address this vacuum of knowledge as well.
Thank you and stay free.
